What new dangers does winter bring to the people of Gaza? | TV shows

Palestinians in the war-torn Gaza Strip face an increased risk of disease.

The Israeli attack on Gaza has created a humanitarian catastrophe for the 2.3 million residents of the besieged Palestinian territory.

Hundreds of thousands of people have been forced to leave their homes, some with only a plastic tent for shelter.

Essential medicines, food, water and fuel are in short supply after Israel severely restricted supplies during a “complete” siege of the enclave.

The onset of winter presents even more challenges and dangers – not only from the cold, but also the risk of disease in the absence of functioning sanitation or water treatment systems.
