What if… from Marvel? Gets Season 2 Trailer and Release Date


The next season of Marvel’s animated speculative fiction series, What If…? arrives just in time for the holidays – with an exciting new release schedule. From December 22, fans will be able to discover a new What If…? episode every day for nine days, covering the peak holiday period.

And if…? is a Marvel animated series that explores things that could have happened, but didn’t come true in its current canon. The trailer shows off some of the storylines we already knew were coming in Season 2: the cast of Shang-Chi fighting Odin of Asgard, Iron Man’s street race on Sakaar, and a deep dive into a set historical inspired by the Renaissance. a story based on the 1602 series by Neil Gaiman.

The second season of What If…? also introduces a new hero, a Mohawk woman named Kahhori, who comes into contact with the Tesseract after it falls to Earth in pre-colonial times. The series will also feature storylines for some fan-favorite Marvel characters, including Nebula, Hela, and Happy Hogan, who appears to be the star of a Die Hard-inspired Christmas episode set in Stark Towers.

While it seems like this is just the only explicitly holiday-themed episode, Marvel also has unveiled a festive poster for the new season of What If…?, referring to the new episodes as his gift to fans. After Loki’s second season ended last week, What If…? is the last Marvel event of the year.

And if…? Season 2 premieres on Disney Plus on December 22, with a new episode airing every day until December 30.
