We saw a lot of behind the scenes videos showing a buff actors performing action hero feats. But it’s hard to remember any artist keeping it as real as Antony Starr. He plays Homelander on The boys, so he’s probably no stranger to stunts and wiring work. But for the appearance of his character in Boys spin off Generation VStarr had a hilarious reaction to being hoisted up, path above the earth.

(NSFW language, in case it wasn’t obvious.)

You have to love the nonchalant way he presents this clip as his “contribution”. Just after Generation VEarlier this month, executive producers Michele Fazekas and Eric Kripke revealed in an interview with Variety that his cameos Boys the characters – Karl Urban’s Billy Butcher also appeared – were carefully plotted rather than staged in order to further connect the series.

“We didn’t approach this finale saying, ‘We need a Butcher cameo and a Homelander cameo.’ They were distinct ideas. Fazekas told the trade. “Homelander came before Butcher because we knew we wanted to see Homelander. But it’s a bell that you can’t really ring that much. We wanted to be very thoughtful about when we were doing this. And it kept coming up over the course of the season, and then it made sense to do it at the almost final, climactic moment.

Generation V And The boys are available on Prime Video; season four release date The boys hasn’t been announced, but since its creators told Variety that they’re currently “deep in music and visual effects,” 2024 seems likely.
