Stellantis and CATL in talks for EV battery supply deal with joint venture potential

Stellar signed a memorandum of understanding with CATL for the supply of batteries for electric vehicles to the European market.

The Dutch Jeep and Dodge maker said on Tuesday that the non-binding agreement with the Chinese battery maker includes a long-term agreement for the supply of lithium iron phosphate batteries. The deal could result in a joint venture with matching contributions, Stellantis said.
