Speaking at the CME Group Tour Championship Q&A event (via E! News), Kidman — who also starred in the series as Celeste Wright — shared that the opportunity to executive produce the series s ‘is presented at a time when she was already considering retirement.

And then you all watched it and made it a huge success,” the actress said, teasing: “We’ll give you a third one, just for your information.”

Although Kidman has previously spoken about the exciting future of Big Little Lies, Max has yet to confirm his announcement. This was also a surprise to fans of the show given previous comments from the cast presumably confirming that season 3 of Big Little Lies definitely wouldn’t happen.
