Ahead of India’s 74th Republic Day celebrations this year, Prime Video has launched the first look at the upcoming Amazon Original film, Ae Watan Simple Watan, an inspiring tribute to the intrepid heroes of India’s freedom struggle. A Dharmatic Entertainment production, the film is produced by Karan Johar and Apoorva Mehta, with Somen Mishra as co-producer.

Directed by Kannan Iyer and jointly written by Darab Farooqui and Kannan Iyer, the film is a thriller-drama inspired by true events and will see Sara Ali Khan playing the character of a valiant freedom fighter. Ae Watan Mere Watan will be available to Prime members in more than 240 countries and territories around the world.

The video transported us to a bygone era where we see a tense, but extremely focused, young girl expertly assembling a radio-like device in a dimly lit room. The camera gradually reveals that the young girl is none other than Sara Ali Khan in a new and non-glamorous avatar. As she begins to speak on the radio, her voice is full of courage and determination; she shares the message of independence with the entire nation via her clandestine radio, until she is interrupted by the incessant knocking at the door.

After packaging Ae Watan Simple Watan In December, Sara Ali Khan flew to the UK to start shooting for her upcoming film. This is Sara Ali Khan’s fourth film of the year as she has been very busy shooting all the time. She is one of the busiest actresses in India and with such speed, it seems like she is moving around. Currently, Sara is in London, where she is starting the first schedule of this film with Tiger Shroff.

On social media, she posted a photo of a delicious breakfast she had in London. The plate was full of beans, berries, sausages and small croissants. She wrote “Breakfast of Champions.”

A source close to the actor revealed, “Sara Ali Khan has had a busy year with back-to-back shoots and films. This year alone, the actress has completed three films. Currently, she is on her fourth film after completing Ae Watan Mere Watan. The speed with which she concludes projects is commendable.
