You don’t do it to have be to the boss or even know how to cook to enjoy the shows collected on the new PBS Food FAST channel— but if you consume it long enough, you might acquire some cooking mojo through osmosis. Starting today, you can find the channel free 24/7 in the United States on Amazon freePlex and Year.
The program brings together both recent and more vintage titles, and includes THE The spirit of a chef, The French Chef with Julia Child, Eat with Lidia, I’ll have what Phil has, Jacques Pépin: Heart & Soul, Essential Pépin, Simply Ming, and more. (Hardcore fans will know Julia Child already has its own standalone FAST channel from PBS Distribution, for those who need continued access to Child’s inimitable style and personality.)
In a PBS press release, the company promises that its new channel will provide “inspiration for new recipes, cooking classes and the opportunity to embark on culinary adventures around the world,” as well as a glimpse into the workspaces of culinary celebrities like, obviously (series titles)—Child, Pépin and Ming Tsai, but also Marcus Samuelsson, Vivian Howard, José Andrés, etc.
