OnePlus 12 will go global in January 2024

OnePlus is celebrating its tenth anniversary with a big event in China on December 4, when the OnePlus 12 smartphone will be revealed to the local public. The global launch is expected to happen sometime in January 2024, according to tipster Max Jamboor, who has an excellent track record when it comes to OnePlus leaks.

The leak suggests the “OnePlus 12 series” is coming, meaning there will be more than one phone. Whether it’s a more powerful 12 Pro or a toned-down 12R, we’re yet to see. There could also be a Lite version – in the world of rumors, the possibilities are endless.

OnePlus 12 is expected to feature a 6.82-inch LTPO panel, developed by BOE, with a peak brightness of 2,600 nits. We’re also expecting a new triple camera with a 48 MP dual-layer Lytia 808 primary sensor from Sony, a 3x telephoto lens with a 64 MP OmniVision OV64B sensor, and a 48 MP ultra-wide shooter.

The phone is most likely equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and 100W wired charging support, at least in China. We have to wait until January to find out if OnePlus has fixed how SuperVOOC adapters work in 110V outlets or if the US variant will again have a slightly degraded charging speed like the OnePlus 11.
