The Man of Steel has found his nemesis. Nicholas Hoult will play Lex Luther in James Gunn’s upcoming film “Superman: Legacy,” according to a report from Deadline.
News has contacted representatives from Warner Bros. to confirm.
Hoult landed the role of Superman’s most notorious foe after auditioning for the lead role of Clark Kent during the film’s initial casting. Hoult was one of three actors to go through the final round of screen tests along with Tom Brittney and David Corenswet, who was ultimately cast in the lead role.
“Superman: Legacy” will be released in theaters on July 11, 2025.
