“Eyes on the fire, Sammy boy.” Level 33 Ent. has debuted an official trailer for an indie sci-fi comedy titled The Adventures of the Naked Umbrella, the latest from filmmaker Gerald Brunskill. It’s available at the end of this week on VOD, if you want to start it. A conspiracy theorist with pyromania disorder has a relapse when his trailer suddenly explodes, sparking a search for the truth that could reduce his world to ashes. Jeremy Davies plays arsonist Sam Wanoutsky who was recording his podcast, “The Naked Umbrella,” when his trailer burns to the ground. Convinced he’s been set up, Sam hits the road with his parole officer in hot pursuit. Also featuring Tom Arnold, Richard Riehle, Taryn Manning, Vinny Balbo, Cindy Vela, Rylee MarshallAnd Darnell Rhea. An alien appears here, but it seems like it’s all in his head after the caravan explodes. It looks crazy, wacky and quite fun – check it out.

Convicted arsonist Sam Wanoutsky (Jeremy Davies) is hosting his own conspiracy podcast, The Naked Umbrella, when his trailer explodes and burns to the ground. Convinced he has been framed, Sam hits the road with his wife, Irene, to clear his name. Now off medication and with his parole officer on his tail, Sam’s psychosis returns as he navigates his relationship with reality and his undying love for his wife. The Adventures of the Naked Umbrella is both written and directed by American independent filmmaker Jerry Brunskill (aka Gerald Brunskill), directing his second feature film after directing the film It’s God! previously. Produced by Ryan Rees. As far as we know, this hasn’t premiered at any festivals or anywhere else. Level 33 Ent. exits The Adventures of the Naked Umbrella live on VOD from November 10, 2023 this autumn.
