Ektaa Kapoor, Vir Das and Martin Freeman take home honors

The 51st International Emmy Awards took place in New York and turned out to be a star-studded affair. While The Empress won Best Drama Series, Martin Freeman and Karla Souza won Best Actor and Best Actress trophies for The Responder and The Fall (Diving) respectively.

Indian filmmaker and television producer Ekta Kapoor received the Direction award while Vir Das won big in the comedy category for his Netflix special. For Das: Landing.
