Dune: part two will be broadcast in an exclusive IMAX format recently popularized by Christopher Nolan Oppenheimer. As the second half of Denis Villeneuve’s adaptation of Frank Herbert’s science fiction novel, the film continues to follow Paul Atreides with the Fremen as he wages a war of retaliation against House Harkonnen. Dune: part two the cast includes the returning Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Josh Brolin, Stellan Skarsgård, Dave Bautista, Zendaya and Javier Bardem with Austin Butler, Florence Pugh and Christopher Walken joining the ensemble.

According to Collider, Dune: part two will be released in 70mm IMAX, an incredibly exclusive yet immersive format popularized by Oppenheimer. Similar to Nolan’s blockbuster biopic, the sci-fi sequel will air in IMAX for two to three weeks and possibly be extended depending on its popularity.
