The Daily Planet team is growing with The right gemstones star Skyler Gisondo joins Warner Bros..’ Superman: Legacy like Jimmy Olsen.
James Gunn’s DC Studios recently had a bonanza when it announced the casting for its upcoming Superman film. The Hollywood Reporter just revealed that Olsen will be played by Gisondo, known for his comedic work on shows like Precious stones And The Santa Clarita Diet. Also today, Sara Sampaio was announced as Lex Luthor’Eve Teschmacher’s assistant, a character originally created for Christopher Reeve’s film. Superman movies, as reported Deadline.
Gisondo and Sampaio are just the latest additions to the Superman: Legacy casting, which yesterday added Nicholas Hoult (The menu) as main antagonist Lex Luthor, joining David Corenswet (Pearl) as Clark Kent/Superman and Rachel Brosnahan (Marvelous Mrs. Maisel) like Lois Lane. The set also includes a veritable roster of comic book staples brought to life, including Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner/Green Lantern, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific, Anthony Carrigan as Rex Mason/Metamorpho and María Gabriela de Faría as Angela Spica/The Engineer.
James Gunn Superman’s Legacy is expanding its franchise plans for a new era of DC Studios fare and is scheduled for release on July 11, 2025.
