Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition arrives next month and includes the Phantom Liberty expansion

CD Projekt Red released Phantom Liberty, the first and final expansion for its 2020 RPG, Cyberpunk 2077, in September. We loved it – find out why in Game Informers Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty review here – and if you enjoyed the base game, this isn’t an expansion to miss. Currently, it’s only available for purchase as a Cyberpunk 2077 add-on, but if you haven’t picked it up yet, it might be worth waiting a few more weeks. Indeed, CDPR has revealed Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition, which includes the base game and the Phantom Liberty expansion in one package.

Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition will be released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC on December 5 and will be released in both digital and physical formats. Check out the box art below:

All CDPR has shared about this new edition is the tweet above, so it remains to be seen if the Ultimate Edition includes any new goodies or improvements. Given that Phantom Liberty and the Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 update significantly improved the game, reworking and revamping many of its mechanics in the process, it’s unlikely that the Ultimate Edition will include changes along these lines. But only time will tell.
