CD Projekt Red has announced its Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition, which will include both the base game and its Phantom Liberty expansion.
CDPR’s Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition is set to release for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC (both physically and digitally, although PC and PS5 will have download codes) on December 5. As of this writing, there is no word on pricing.

This latest edition of the game is just the most recent step in what has been quite the redemption arc for Cyberpunk 2077.
As we all remember, its infamous 2020 release was marred by issues and bugs so extreme that Sony even went so far as to remove Cyberpunk 2077 from the PlayStation Store. According to Michał Platkow-Gilewski, CDPR’s vice president of public relations and communications, it actually became “a cool thing to not like” after its release.
However, fan opinion has since seen a massive turnaround. Earlier this year, the studio released its 2.0 bumper patch, which reworked the police system, added redesigned skill trees, added vehicular combat, and much more.
Big news… Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition arrives on December 5 in digital AND physical form for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC!

It also released its Phantom Liberty expansion which garnered widespread praise. In fact, in October, CDPR announced that it had transferred 25 million copies of Cyberpunk 2077, while Phantom Liberty sold 3 million in its first week of launch.
Overall, this really feels like a new era for the once-beleaguered series. There’s even a sequel in development and a live-action project in the works.
