Looking for the right way to tell a BTS Army member that you’re “purpleing” them? Although it might still be a few years before you can surprise them with concert tickets, this Lego BTS Dynamite model might be just what you need to make the wait less painful. Normally $100, the 800-piece kit has been marked down to $69 as part of Amazon’s Black Friday sale.
Released in July 2023, the kit depicts the setting for BTS’ “Dynamite” music video, a retro-inspired pop number that highlights the lighter side of their 2020 album, BE. Alongside the ice cream truck, donut stand, record store and video nightclub are the seven kings of K-Pop themselves: Jin, Suga, RM, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook. Each of the members can be attached to the nightclub’s black dance floor, which can then spin by spinning an adjacent wheel.
If you just want to display the model, you’ll need to clear about 15 inches of your K-Pop display shelf, or about one and a half BTS light sticks. In addition to the instruction booklet, the kit also includes a brochure detailing “the history of BTS and their rise to global fame as well as interviews with the set’s fan designers.”
Amazon isn’t the only company with big Black Friday sales. Several of the biggest games of 2023 are on sale at Fanatical, and you can now grab a Nintendo Switch Online subscription at a slightly discounted price at Walmart.
