Baidu’s third-quarter revenue increased 6%; Investment gains boosted financial results

BaiduThird-quarter revenue increased 6% from a year earlier, driven by growth in online marketing and streaming services.

The Chinese technology company on Tuesday reported net profit for the quarter ended September of 6.68 billion yuan ($931.8 million), compared with a net loss of CNY146 million a year earlier. The quarterly profit exceeded the estimate of CNY 4.89 billion from an analyst survey by Set of facts.
