Ark: Survival Ascended finally available today on Xbox Series X/S

After another last-minute delay, Ark: Survival Ascended’s release on Xbox Series X/S will take place later today.

Studio Wildcard’s dinosaur survival game was supposed to launch last week, November 14, on Xbox Series X/S, but was delayed until later in the week. On November 16, Studio Wildcard delayed the release again, with a target window set for early this week.

Fast forward to today, November 21, and Studio Wildcard has confirmed the final release date for Ark: Survival Ascended on Xbox – and there are no more delays. The game will go live later today at 5pm UK time / 9am Pacific.

“We appreciate everyone’s continued support and understanding throughout the certification process for Ark: Survival Ascended on Xbox,” the publisher wrote in a statement. job on X, formerly Twitter. Servers for Xbox players won’t go live until a few hours after launch, Studio Wildcard added, to allow “enough time” for everyone to download the game.

The statement also included an update on the game’s PlayStation release, which the studio delayed from late November to early December.

“We are still working closely with Sony on PlayStation 5 certification,” Studio Wilcard said, but added that it had encountered some issues that needed more time to resolve. “We are working diligently to bring you the best cross-platform experience possible,” he said, thanking PlayStation fans for their patience and understanding.

Ark: Survival Ascended is a remake of Ark: Survival Evolved, and the sequel Ark 2 (starring Vin Diesel) is currently scheduled for release near the end of 2024.
